Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies arrested a Macon man for possession of a firearm by a felon. Just before 04:00 p.m., on May 12, 2019, deputies responded to the Robins Financial Credit Union at 4245 Log Cabin Drive in regards to an irate customer.

When deputies arrived they made contact with employees who stated that 23-year-old James Jereal Watson got irate when he could not produce a valid identification to access his account. When Watson was asked to leave the building he refused several times.

Watson was still in his vehicle on the scene when deputies approached him. Deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from Watson’s vehicle. While checking the vehicle deputies located a Glock pistol. It was determined that Watson was on probation at the time.

Watson was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He is being held on $5,700.00 at this time.
