The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident that took place on Embassy Ct. The incident occurred at around 4:35 p.m.
According to witness statements, an 84-year-old female had just pulled into her driveway. As she was exiting her vehicle, she fell as her vehicle rolled backwards and then over her.
The female was transported to the Coliseum Northside Hospital where she later passed from the injuries that she received from the accident. Witnesses stated that the vehicle was still running, and in gear when the incident took place.
The name of the victim will be released as soon as the next of kin has been notified. No one else was inside of the vehicle and no one else was injured when the incident occurred.
