The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision that occurred at 4:48 p.m. on Rocky Creek Road at Lions Place.
It was reported that a Honda Accord, driven by a 24-year-old female of Macon, was making a left turn off of Lions Place to go east on Rocky Creek Road. A Kawasaki Ninja ZX600 that was traveling west on Rocky Creek Road struck the side of the Honda. The driver of the Ninja Motorcycle 40-year-old Jason Alford Bennett, of Macon, was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Luann Stone.
The 24-year-old female was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent, and is listed in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin has been notified at this time.
