The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred at 7:56 p.m. on Interstate 75 northbound near Hardeman Avenue.
It was reported that a Ford Crown Victoria, driven by a 31-year-old male, was traveling north on Interstate 75 just after the Hardeman Avenue exit ramp, when it went off the roadway and struck a guard rail. The vehicle came to a stop directly under the bridge.
The driver was found partially ejected from the vehicle, and was transported to Atrium Health Navicent. The 31-year-old was later pronounced deceased.
No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin has not been notified.
