The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic that occurred in the 5200 block of Arkwright Road. The incident took place at around 11:58 p.m. Saturday.

It was reported that a Ford truck, driven by 42-year-old Larry Moore of Monroe County, left the roadway and went down an embankment. The truck hit the side of a train that was stationary on the railroad tracks. The truck rolled before coming to a stop.

The rear seat passenger, 39-year-old Clinton Nettles of Nashville, Georgia was ejected from the vehicle during the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to the Coroner’s Office, the next of kin has been notified.

Moore was transported to the hospital and is listed to be in stable condition. A front seat passenger was uninjured.

This accident is under investigation. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
