The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Shurling Dr. at Walnut Creek Rd. just before 08:00p.m. Thursday night. It was reported that 85yr old Mary Wilson King of Macon was crossing Shurling Dr. from Walnut Creek Rd. towards Harvey’s Grocery store in her Mazda 3. Her vehicle was struck by an International 4300 truck driven by 33yr old George Willis of Macon who was traveling east on Shurling Dr.
King was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased by the Navicent doctors. Next of Kin has been notified. Willis was not injured in the accident.
