The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal, single vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon, in north Macon. The incident took place at around 2:05 p.m., on Forest Hill Road, just north of the Northside Drive intersection.
Witnesses stated that vehicle was traveling north on Forest Hill Road. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it went off of the roadway, into the woods and then hit a tree. The driver was found to be unresponsive. The driver later passed at the Northside Coliseum emergency room.
The driver’s name cannot be released at this time, until the next of kin has been notified. No one else was involved in this accident.
This incident is under investigation.
