Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest a suspect moments after he burglarized a local business.

Deputies were able to identify and arrest, 49-year-old Louis Romenkis Huff, of Macon, for the burglary that occurred at the Family Dollar, located at 3567 Houston Avenue, on February 15, 2020 at 2:21 a.m.

Deputies located Huff just after the burglary, inside an abandoned trailer located in the 2800 block of Houston Avenue. When deputies tried to take Huff into custody, he attempted to flee from the trailer, but was arrested without incident. Deputies were able to identify Huff from the store surveillance video.

Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that Huff had broken into the Family Dollar store, located at 2123 Pio Nono Avenue on January 27, 2020 at 3:34 a.m.

On both incidents Huff is shown on surveillance video entering the store, by forcing the doors open and taking large amounts of laundry detergent in a shopping cart. 

Huff was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with two counts of Commercial Burglary, Possession of Marijuana , and Violation of Probation.
