The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an individual that was injured during a shooting incident that occurred on June 5, 2022.

It was originally reported that several individuals were shot while at an abandoned house that was located in 300 block of Jones Avenue. Three of the victims involved in the incident left by personal vehicle and were taken to the hospital. A fourth victim was located by deputies behind the abandoned house, and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Three of the individuals were listed in stable condition and then later discharged from the hospital. The fourth victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

One of the victims from the June shooting incident, 23-year-old Jarvis Devon Hill, was reported to have been taken to a local hospital for medical complications on at around 1:00 a.m., Thursday. According to Coroner Leon Jones, Hill was pronounced deceased at around 1:58 a.m. The next of kin has been notified.

An autopsy has been requested to determine the cause of death.

Death Investigation on Jones Avenue

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators are investigating a death of one individual and three other males that were wounded during a shooting that took place on Jones Avenue, Saturday night. The incident was called into the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at around 6:50 p.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s office received a call of shots fired on Jones Avenue. The caller stated that several individuals were reported to have possibly been shot. The incident took place at an abandoned house, located in the 300 block of Jones Avenue. Three of the victims involved in the incident left by personal vehicle and went to the hospital. A fourth victim was located by deputies, behind the abandoned house,  and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Three of the victims are listed to be in stable condition. The fourth victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The deceased was identified as 19-year-old Cleveland Raines of Macon. According to the Coroner’s Office the next of kin has been notified.

The three males that are in stable condition are 19-year-old Ralph Hughes, 23-year-old Jarvis Devon Hill, and 22-year-old Alizya Sinclair.

This incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
