The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place just after 1:30a.m. Saturday morning at the Murphy gas station, located at 1402 Gray Highway.
It was reported that a masked suspect, brandishing a silver handgun, entered the store and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect fled the scene after getting an undisclosed amount of cash. A second suspect approached a customer outside at the gas pumps. The customer saw the suspect approaching and begin to drive off. The suspect fired several shots into the vehicle. Inside the vehicle was a family. No one was injured during this incident. Both suspects fled the scene together on foot in a unknown direction.
The first suspect was described as a black male. He was wearing all black with a camouflage hood covering his face and head. The second suspect was described as a black male. He was wearing all dark clothing with a mask covering his face.
