The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery which took place at Dollar General located at 4996 Bloomfield Road.
On March 28th, 2023, at 1:21p.m., the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to Dollar General in reference to a report of an armed robbery. When deputies arrived, contact was made with witnesses. It was reported the suspect entered the store and approached the checkout counter. The suspect brandished a firearm at the cashier. The cashier withdrew an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and gave it to the suspect. The suspect left the business.
No one was injured.
The suspect is a slender black male. He is wearing a royal blue hoodie (hood up), a white surgical mask, he wears a wedding ring, dark gray or black jeans (skinny), and gray or black sneakers.
The circumstances surrounding this case are still under investigation.
