The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place at the “Goo Goo” Car Wash, located at 3479 Mercer University Drive. The incident took place at around 8:20 p.m. Friday night.
It was reported that one of the employees was closing out the outside cash machine acceptor. (The acceptor is the machine that holds the currency that is collected from the customers.). As the employee sat the acceptor on the ground, two armed males approached and demanded money. One of the males grabbed the acceptor, with an undisclosed amount of money, and then both males fled the scene in an unknown direction. No one was injured during the incident.
One of the males was described wearing all black clothing, a dark colored bandana, and he had a dark handgun. The second male had on all black clothing, a white shirt under a dark colored hoodie, an orange facial covering, a dark colored backpack and he also had a handgun.
