The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place just after 11:00 AM this morning at the El Dorado Mexican Restaurant, located at 3547 Mercer University Dr. The suspect had entered into the restaurant before it opened through the ventilation system. The suspect brandished a pistol and demanded money. The employee turned to run out the front door and that is when the suspect struck him with the gun on the right side of the head. The employee was able to get away and the suspect ran out of the rear door and into the woods behind the restaurant. Before getting away the employee gave the suspect his wallet and a necklace. The employee was taken to the Navicent Health where he was treated and release for minor injuries.
The suspect is described as being a black male around 6 feet tall skin build wearing dark clothes and having a silver pistol.
