The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Armed Robbery of the “Friendly Gus” gas station, located at 4845 Ocmulgee East Blvd, in east Bibb County. It was reported that at around 2:00a.m., a masked suspect entered the store, brandishing a plastic bag around his left hand; giving the appearance that he was possibly concealing a weapon.
The suspect demand money from the cash register and safe. The store clerks refused to help the suspect, so he grabbed a box and began to load it with “New Port” cigarettes. The suspect fled the store, running towards the nearby Subway restaurant. No one was injured during this incident. No further information on the description of the suspect is available at this time.
