The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident with injuries that occurred in the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 7:39 p.m.
It was reported that a 40-year-old Cornelle Stephens, of Macon, was riding his bicycle on MLK Jr. Blvd. in the southbound lane when he was struck from behind. The driver of a Saturn LW200, station wagon style car, said that she did not see him until it was too late to avoid hitting him. Stephens was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center and is listed in stable condition. No one else was injured. No charges are filed at this time.
