Bibb Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two suspects involved in several “Robbery by Snatching” incidents in north and east Macon. An adult male and a juvenile were arrested shortly after two of the incidents occurred on Wednesday night.

The first incident of Robbery by snatching occurred on April 23, 2019 (Tuesday night) , at around 8:44p.m. It was reported that a female was walking to her vehicle from the Kroger, located at 220 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. A young black male, with a short, “dread” hairstyle approached the victim and grabbed her purse. After the suspect snatched the purse from the victim, he ran down the parking lot. The suspect got into an older model Mercedes, black in color. The vehicle was occupied by several other male suspects. The black Mercedes fled the area, headed towards Interstate 75. No one was injured during this incident.

Wednesday night, April 24, 2019 at around 7:51p.m., a female victim was walking out of the Walmart, located at 1401 Gray Hwy. As she was stepping off of a curb, heading towards her vehicle, an older black colored Mercedes approached. The passenger of the vehicle snatched a purse from the victim’s shoulder. The vehicle sped off and headed towards Gray Hwy. The victim was seen by EMS, due to a medical complaint from the incident.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a second report of a “Robbery by Snatching” Wednesday night, located in the parking lot of the Kroger, located at 220 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. This incident was called in at around 8:29 p.m.  As the female victim and her husband were approaching their vehicle, a black colored, older Mercedes Benz drove to their location. The passenger of the Mercedes reached out of the vehicle and snatched the purse from the female victim. The black Mercedes sped off, headed towards Northside Drive. No one was reported injured during this incident.

A “lookout” was given on the suspects and the suspect vehicle. Deputies located the black colored, older Mercedes Benz on Mercer University Drive at around 8:57 p.m… Deputies stopped the vehicle in the parking of the “Family Dollar”, located at 3190 Mercer University Drive. The adult male driver, 18-year-old Jadarius Malik Card and a 16-year-old juvenile were taken into custody without incident.

The older black Mercedes was found to have been reported stolen from the parking lot of the North Avenue Kroger on April 20, 2019. Deputies also located a handgun  inside of the Mercedes. The handgun was not reported stolen at the time that the deputies stopped the Mercedes.

Jadarius Card is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for the charges of (3cts.) Robbery, (3cts.) Possession of Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, and (3cts.) of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (vehicle).

The 16-year-old juvenile was transported to the R.Y.D.C. for the charges of (3cts.) Robbery, (3cts.) Possession of Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, and (3cts.) of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (vehicle).
