The Bibb County Sheriff’s Property Crimes Division arrested 30 year old Jeremy Carlton Brown Jr and his 15 year old brother both of Miami Florida; on Wednesday June 13, 2018 just after 2:30 p.m. Brown is charged with 3 counts of theft by taking (mail), forgery in the 3rd degree and contribute to delinquency of a minor. The 15 year old was charged with 3 counts of theft by taking(mail) and forgery 3rd degree.
Wednesday evening deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to 105 Browns Ridge in reference to complainant Kevin Brown holding two suspects at gun point for removing mail from his mailbox. Both suspect were taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Property Crimes Division to be interviewed. During the investigation and interviews with Brown and his 15 year old brother, it was discovered that Brown and his brother commit several thefts. Investigators recovered $3,000 in cash and over $16,000 in checks belonging to other victims.
Brown was later transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and his brother was turned over to DFACS until a family member could be contacted.
