Since the beginning of the year, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has implemented targeted enforcement actions which have resulted in thirty-two arrests, and the seizure of drugs, cash, and seven weapons.
These enforcement actions were the result of tips from community members about areas of alleged illegal narcotics sales. After receiving tips from the community, investigators, assisted by the Sheriff’s Office Crime Analysis Unit, began gathering information about these locations and persons of interest.
Search warrants were conducted at ten locations throughout Macon-Bibb County by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit, along with the Special Investigation Unit, S.W.A.T. Team, members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive task force and patrol deputies.

Sheriff David Davis said, “These raids would not have been possible without involvement from concerned citizens. We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities and incidents of criminal behavior so that the sheriff’s office can continue to address neighborhood crime issues.”
