Bibb County Sheriff’s Crimes against Property Investigator Tony Moss conducted an investigation into some recent burglaries and thefts in the Bethel Church Road, Dixon Road and Barnes Ferry Road area. During Investigator Moss’s investigation a possible suspect was identified. The suspect was located Tuesday, December 5, 2017, and brought to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division for an interview. During the interview it was discovered that the suspect, identified as 33 year old Shawn Wayne Lineberger, was involved in the incidents at 6915 Bethel Church Road, 6045 Bethel Church Road, 6664 Bethel Church Road, 5065 Dixon Road and 1927 Barnes Ferry Road. These incidents occurred between October and December of 2017.
Some of the items taken were located and returned back to the victims. Lineberger was charged with burglary and theft by deception. He was also charged with two probation violations. Lineberger was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. He must appear before a Magistrate Judge for bond.
