Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 742 Villa Crest Avenue just before 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a person reported to be shot. When deputies arrived at the house they were met by a man that stated the victim, identified as 19 year old Marquice Patrick, was inside. The man was rendering aid to Patrick. Another man reported hearing someone yelling for help and went in the vacant house finding Patrick.
Patrick was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital with a single gunshot wound. Deputies attempted to talk with Patrick at the scene and at the hospital but were unable to get any suspect information. He is listed in critical but stable condition.
