The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Shooting incident that was reported to have occurred in the 2400 block of Goodwin Drive, just after 01:00 a.m… It was reported that 49-year-old Steven Dewayne Jones was at his residence when an unknown black male knocked on the door. When the door was opened the male suspect pushed his way into the house and shot Jones multiple times. Jones was taken to Navicent Health Medical Center where he is listed in critical but stable condition at this time. No one else was injured in the incident.
The suspect had already left the scene when Deputies arrived. There is no further information on the suspect at this time.
