The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that was reported to have occurred at the corner of Leaf Street and Applewood Street at 5:08 p.m.
Deputies responded to the Navicent Health Medical Center in regards to a person shot. It was reported that the 39-year-old male victim, from Macon, was at a residence in Davis Homes when there was physical altercation near Leaf Street and Applewood Street.
During the altercation an unknown suspect began shooting. The victim was shot in the right leg and driven to the Medical Center by a friend for treatment. No one else was injured during this incident. The victim is listed in stable condition at this time. There is no information on the suspect at this time.
