Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a person shot at 208 Chambers Cove Dr. ,just after 2:30am. It was reported that 35 year old Chaz Green who lives in the 303 apartment building was kicking and turning door knobs on apartment doors in the 208 building. Apartment occupants called 911 stating someone was attempting to break into their apartment. Green kicked at two apartment doors. When the first apartment occupants asked who he was Green did not respond. Green then kicked at the second door, of 59 year old Calvin Griffin. Griffin was awakened by the kicks. Griffin asked” who is it”, and “get away from my door”. Green did not respond and continued to kick and pull on the door knob. Griffin then fired a shot through the door striking Green in the head.
Green was taken to the Navicent health center to be treated for his injury. Green is listed in stable condition. At this time there are no charges pending against Calvin Griffin or Chaz Green.
