The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a person shot that occurred on Thomas Street, just after 04:25 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to the Navicent Health Medical Center where the victim was taken by private vehicle.
The victim was a 27-year-old black male, from Macon, who was shot multiple times. It was reported that the victim was at a party on Thomas Street when he got into an altercation. During the altercation an unknown black male pulled a gun and started shooting.
A friend of the victim transported him to the hospital after everyone left the party. The victim is listed in stable condition at this time.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in the shooting, 37-year-old Antonio Marquez Chapman. A picture of Chapman is attached to the release.
