Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a person shot in the 2800 block of Roy Street, just before 8:00 p.m. It was reported that an 11 year old black male had been shot in the leg. It was reported that the incident occurred around 12noon on Wednesday. The 11year old and a 15yr old black male, were playing with a handgun at an unknown location when the 15 year old discharged the handgun striking the 11 year old in the leg. It was reported that the 11year old attempted to hide the incident from his parents.
The 11 year old male was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The 15 year old was transported to the RYDC and charged with Aggravated Assault.
