The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred at 967 Elder St., just before 5:30p.m. Wednesday evening. It was reported that there was a black male in the residence, unresponsive. Deputies and EMS arrived and made entry and located the male victim in the house and discovered that he was deceased. Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators responded along with Crime Scene Investigators to the residence. The victim had been shot in the chest. His name is being held until the next of kin has been notified. No other information is being released at this time.
