The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide and aggravated assault that occurred at 241 Riley Ave just before 10:00pm. Monday night. It was reported that a 20yr old black male and a 33yr old black male had been shot. It was reported that an argument occurred between a group of people and during that argument gunfire was exchanged. The 33yr old male was shot once in the chest and the 20 yr. old was shot once in the chest. The 20yr old male was pronounced dead on scene by the Coroner’s Office. The 33yr old was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center and is listed in critical condition at this time. No one else was injured in the incident.
The names of the victims will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
