Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies received a call of a single vehicle accident with injuries just around 4:00PM Friday, August 31, 2018.
It was reported that 58 year old Melvin King Jr. was operating a 1984 Ford F250 on Burton Avenue, near its intersection with Arnwood Avenue. King lost control of his vehicle and hit a large tree, located on the property of 1388 Burton Avenue.
Mr. King was the only occupant in the vehicle. He was transported to the Navicent. No one else was injured during this incident.
On September 2, 2018, Mr. King passed as a result of the injuries that he received from the accident.
