The identity of the deceased person found near Eisenhower Pkwy today has been identified as 23yr old Jerry Alonzo Anderson Jr. of Macon. The cause of death was ruled as a suicide. The victim had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The next of Kin has been notified by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Dead Body Found In West Macon
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a dead body found the near 2000 Block of Eisenhower Parkway. Deputies responded to the area in reference to a deceased person in the wooded area near the Farmers Market. Upon arrival they found the body in what appeared to be a makeshift camp site, the subject was pronounced deceased on the scene. Investigators are waiting to confirm whether the body is that of a male or female and the identity of the body as it was decomposed. The case is being investigated as a suspicious death until a cause of death can be determined.
