The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle that happened just after 4:30 p.m. at the 20’s Pub & Sub located at 3076 Riverside Drive. Deputies responded to a call of a vehicle crashing into the business and then driving away.

It was reported that 80-year-old Billy Wayne Goodwin, of Macon had a verbal altercation with another customer on June 29, 2019 at the 20’s Pub & Sub. Goodwin left the business at that time without incident.

Witnesses stated that today Goodwin returned to the business and without stopping drove his 2004 Chevy Colorado into the building, then backed out and drove into the shop again. At the time of the incident the business was open and there were customers inside. Only two people were taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center for treatment. Both of the two victims, 71-year-old Sammy Colvin and 57-year-old Carolyn Maples of Macon, are listed in stable condition at this time. Everyone else was treated and released on the scene for minor injuries.

Deputies were able to track Goodwin to a residence in the 200 block of Marjane Drive where he was taken into custody without incident. Goodwin was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with six counts of Aggravated Assault with Motor Vehicle and one count of Felony Damage to Property. He is being held without bond at this time.
