Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a person shot at 5577 Houston Road, Rutland Place Apartments, just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night. It was reported that the victim, 22 year old Kibwe Troupe-Steed had stepped just outside the front door of an apartment in the 1500 building. Others inside the apartment heard gunshots and went to the front door. That is when Steed was found just outside the door with gunshot wounds. He was pulled inside the door and 911 was called.
Steed was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. No suspect information is available at this time.
