Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators made an arrest on a personal robbery that occurred on October 27, 2017 at 1103 Rocky Creek Road, S&A Grocery. The incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. It was reported that the 23 year old male victim was backing his vehicle in the parking lot of the business when he struck a gold Mercury Marquis. When he got out to speak with the driver of the other vehicle, the black male in the vehicle started a verbal altercation with him. The verbal altercation led to a physical altercation where the male suspect and a black female suspect with the male attacked the victim. The male suspect took the keys to the victim’s vehicle and also took his wallet from his pants pocket. Both suspects got back into the Marquis and fled the scene.

During the investigation the female suspect was identified as 28 year old Saultavia Smith. She was picked up on Friday, November 3, 2017 and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division to be questioned. After being questioned, Smith was charged with Robbery, Entering Auto, Battery and Cruelty to Children (her 3 year old daughter was present in her vehicle during the incident). She was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. She has a bond amount of $14,450.00.

Also during the investigation the male suspect that attacked the victim and took his keys and wallet was identified as 24 year old Carey Darnell Watts Jr. Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Watts. He is 5’4” in height and weighs approximately 130 pounds. He has a tattoo on the right side of his neck that is the word “savage” or “savager”.
