The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body found on Winship Street. The female victim has been identified as 49yr old Ida Ford of Macon.
This incident is still under investigation.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Dead Body Found on Winship Street
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a dead body found near Winship Street and Madden Ave just before 10:00p.m Monday night. Deputies responded to the area in reference to a call from a passerby who found an unresponsive person lying in the roadway. Upon deputies arrival they found the body of a black female. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. It was later discovered by investigators that the victim had been shot. This case is now being investigated as a homicide. No other information is being released at the present time.
