Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a person cut at Magnolia Court Hotel, located at 4739 Houston Road just after 3:15 p.m. When deputies arrived they found 58 year old Danny Chambers of Macon, with multiple lacerations on his left arm. It was reported that Chambers was sitting outside in a chair when 21 year old Artis Marshall of Macon, came up behind Chambers and started cutting him. It was reported that Marshall thought Chambers touch his girlfriend buttocks, two days ago. Chambers then went to his room retrieved a knife and returned outside stating “I am going to kill him” before cutting Chambers.
Marshall was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with Aggravated Assault.
Chambers was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He is listed in stable condition.
