Bibb County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to 181 Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard, Panera Bread regarding a bomb threat just before 2:00 p.m. The building was cleared of all civilians.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they were informed that a male subject went into Panera Bread, ordered food, and left a bookbag behind. The subject then went to a store nearby, and told the clerk there might be a bomb in Panera Bread. Deputies located and detained 52-year-old Kevin Lloyd Hall, of Macon, who was still in the area, without incident. Hall was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Terroristic Threats.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Disposal Unit checked the building and determined that it was safe and that there were no explosive devices in the building. Everyone was allowed to re-enter the building just after 4:30 p.m.
