Just before 5:00pm Saturday evening. A Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle that ran a stop sign on Montpellier Ave at Pansy Ave. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and led the deputy on a brief chase. Deputies chased the vehicle from Pansy to Petunia Ave located, behind Unionville gym located at 2227 Mercer University Dr. where the vehicle struck a parked BMW coming to a stop. The driver then attempted to flee on foot.   Deputies did detain the driver identified as 28-year-old Nicholas Jermaine Foster of Macon. It was also determined the vehicle Foster was driving was a stolen vehicle.  Foster was charged with Possession of Schedule I, Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to distribute, Theft by Receiving stolen property (vehicle), Reckless Driving, Fleeing or attempting to elude police, Traffic Offenses.  He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
