Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested one subject after he lead them on a chase into Houston County just after 03:30 am Sunday morning. While patrolling in the Mercer University Dr. area, Patrol Deputies saw a black Chevrolet Impala exiting the Citgo gas station at 1803 Pio Nono Ave going south bound at a high rate of speed. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle the driver would not stop and lead Deputies down Pio Nono Ave to Eisenhower Pkwy. The suspect then turned onto Broadway going south and continue onto GA 247/Hawkinsville Rd headed into Houston County. After making several turns on to side streets the driver struck a fence in the 200 block of Parkway Dr. in Warner Robins and continued on until striking a house in the 200 block of Sylvia Pl… Both the driver and passenger were taken into custody without incident at that time.
Deputies discovered that the vehicle was stolen from Youman’s Chevrolet on Riverside Dr. and that several vehicle had been broken into that were parked at Youman’s to be worked on.
The driver was identified as 17yr old Devonta Williams of Macon and his passenger was a 15yr old juvenile also of Macon.
Devonta Williams was charged Theft by Receiving Auto, Fleeing Attempting to Elude Police, Reckless Driving, and Driving while unlicensed he also had a Warrant out of Houston County.
