Just after 1:30pm the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office got a call from the Macon Regional Crimestoppers tip Line that Marcus Bernard Williams was at a residence on Sylvian Dr. Patrol Deputies were able to take Williams into custody without incident. Williams was taken to the Investigations Bureau and questioned. He is being held in the Bibb County Jail for criminal attempt to commit murder without bond.

Publics Assistance needed in Locating Shooting Suspect

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the Publics assistance in locating the suspect in the shooting of 15yr old D’Angelo Ross Thursday night. The suspect wanted in the case is 19yr old Marcus Bernard Williams, of south Macon. He has warrant for Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder. He is known to frequent the south Macon and Houston Ave areas.

Williams is six feet tall, one hundred thirty eight pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has small twists in his hair and is considered armed and dangerous. A photo of Williams is attached.

Ross is listed in critical but stable condition at Navicent Health.

Aggravated Assault in south Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that took place in the parking lot of the Houston Food Market, located at 4141 Houston Avenue. The incident occurred at around 10:45p.m.

It was reported that three males were standing in front of the closed business when the incident occurred. One of the males brandished a handgun and shot another male in the facial area. The two other males fled the area on foot, in an unknown direction.

The victim, a 15 year male, was transported to the hospital where he is listed to be in critical condition.

This incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
