Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested a Macon man, for an attempted Personal Armed Robbery that occurred on November 21, 2020.It was reported that the male victim was inside of the Sprint Gas Station, located at 3198 Mercer University Drive.

The victim noticed two males watching him from outside of the store. When he exited the store and began walking, he noticed the two male suspects following him out of the parking lot in their vehicle. Once the victim arrived at the intersection of Eveline Drive, one of the male suspects from the vehicle ran up to him brandishing a rifle and told him to “Give It Up”. The victim then ran into the Advance Auto store located at 3230 Mercer University Drive to get away from the suspects and called deputies for help. No one was injured during this incident.

After further investigation, deputies were able to identify both suspects. One suspect, 17-year-old Dai’Shawn Laterrian Brown was located and arrested today at the Legacy at River crossing apartments, without incident.Brown was transported to the Bibb County jail and charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony. He is being held without bond at this time. Bibb County Sheriff‘s Office investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the second suspect, 17-year-old Tykis Andrews.
