Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in connection with a missing persons investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call at around 10:00 a.m., Sunday morning. It was reported that 79-year old Ernest Loyd left his residence at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning, and has not been seen since. Loyd is reported to suffer from dementia.

Loyd’s daughter stated that he usually frequents several businesses in the Hartley Bridge Road area. He left his residence in a white colored 2015 Toyota Avalon. The Georgia tag display is DGZ775. Mr. Loyd’s clothing description is also not available at this time.

A recent photograph of Mr. Loyd is attached to this media release. Mr. Loyd is described as a white male. He is around 6 feet 2 inches in height and weighs approximately 188 lbs. He also has brown eyes and gray colored hair.
