Bibb County Sheriff Office Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping locate a male suspect wanted in several Armed Robbery Investigations that took place this past weekend.

The suspect is identified as 18-year-old Ha’Keem Romaire Barrett, from Macon. Investigators have issued warrants for his arrest in connection to the armed robbery incidents that took place on October 5, 2019.

Update: Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Bibb Sheriff Deputies arrest one of the two suspects involved in a string of Armed Robbery incidents that occurred on Saturday afternoon.

The suspects abandoned the stolen 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe on Worsham Avenue, after a brief pursuit and ran towards a wooded area. One of the suspects was spotted walking near the 2600 block of Broadway, by an off duty deputy. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to investigators.

The suspect is a 16-year-old male.  He was arrested for the charges of Hijacking a Motor Vehicle and Armed Robbery. The juvenile was transported to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center.

Additional charges are pending further investigation.

Investigators are continuing work on identifying and locating the second suspect involved in these incidents.

Update: Armed Robbery Incidents in south Macon

Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies located the stolen 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, near San Carlos Drive area. 

A short vehicle pursuit ensued. The suspects abandoned the stolen vehicle on Worsham Avenue and ran towards a wooded area.

Armed Robbery Incidents in south Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects possibly involved in several armed robbery incidents that took place in south Macon on Saturday.

At around 12:41p.m., two masked armed suspects approached a woman in the 500 block of Moreland Avenue. The suspects demanded her vehicle. Once they took vehicle, they fled the area, headed towards Houston Avenue.  No one was injured during this incident.

The suspects were described as two black males with facial coverings. One of the male suspects was wearing a yellow shirt, light colored blue jeans and black colored shoes. The second suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt, a white shirt covering his head, blue jeans and dark colored shoes.

The suspects took a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. The stolen vehicle was reported to be silver in color. The vehicle has a Georgia tag display of RRE9645.

At around 3:30p.m., the Dollar Tree, located at 5033 Brookhaven Road, was robbed by two suspects, fitting the same description as listed above. The suspects entered the store and demanded money from the cash registers. It was reported that the suspects fired a couple of shots into the air, while demanding money from the cashier. The cashier could not open the register, so the suspects fled the store and got into a vehicle, matching the Hyundai Santa Fe that was stolen earlier in the day. The suspects fled the area in an unknown direction.  No one was injured during this incident.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call of a personal armed robbery from the NuWay, located at 5572 Bloomfield Road at 3:39p.m. It was reported that two male suspects entered the business and demanded money from two patrons who were inside of the store. Once the suspects received an undisclosed amount of cash, they fled the store and entered a silver S.U.V., matching the description of the vehicle involved in the previous two incidents. No one was injured during this incident.

At around 3:52p.m., deputies were called to the 5900 block of Bloomfield Road.  It was reported that the suspects described above attempted to rob a man of his vehicle and personal belongings, while he was standing in his yard. Once the suspects received an undisclosed amount of cash, they fled the area, headed south on Bloomfield. No one was injured during this incident.
