Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested and charged 21 year old Andre Jackson of Macon with murder and possession of cocaine and 31 year old Lisa Harris of Macon with murder. The arrests are in relation to the murder of 37 year old Marcus Dewayne Braswell that occurred on Thursday morning at 691 Poppy Avenue.

Just before 5:00 a.m. Friday morning, a Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputy assigned to the Special Response Team spotted a vehicle on Mercer University Drive near Poppy Avenue that fit the description of a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Once the deputy verified the information he attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Daffodill Street near Lilly Avenue. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and led the deputy on a brief vehicle chase. The chase ended on Straight Street where Jackson exited the vehicle and ran. The deputy chased Jackson on foot and he was apprehended at a residence in the 1600 block of Straight Street after being tazed. The female, Lisa Harris was still in the vehicle when it had stopped and she was arrested by another deputy with the Special Response Team that came to assist. Jackson and Harris were transported to the Criminal Investigations Division to be questioned. Information followed up on during the investigation leads to Jackson and Harris being involved in the murder of Braswell.

A third subject was also in the vehicle. He is 26 year old Brandon Haywood. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated. Haywood was also tazed when he ran from deputies. He was apprehended behind a vacant house on Woodard Avenue at Edwards Avenue. He is currently being charged with theft of a motor vehicle. Haywood is also being charged with Murder.
