Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Macon man in connection to the shooting of 22-year-old Connor Bridges that happened on August 24, 2018, on Northside Drive.

An off duty Investigator working a part-time job on Mercer University Drive spotted 46-year-old Troy Leman Cunningham entering into the Sparks Café at 3761 Mercer University Drive. Deputies were able to take Cunningham into custody a short time later as he was leaving. Cunningham was arrested without incident just after 02:00 a.m…

Cunningham was taken to the Bibb County Jail on the warrants for Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, and Theft by Conversion, in an unrelated case. He is being held without bond at this time.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Shooting In North Macon  

Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Carriage Hills Apartments, located at 3871 Northside Dr, in reference to a person shot just before 3:00 p.m. Friday. When deputies arrived they found the victim, 22-year-old, Connor Bridges outside of one of the apartment buildings. Bridges was shot in both legs and hand. Bridges was transported to the Navicent hospital by ambulance. He is listed in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male with a ski mask covering his face.
