Members of the U.S. Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested 34 year old Melvin Curry Jr., of Macon, at around 12:20p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Curry was located at a residence on Vacation Drive. Curry was taken into custody, without incident. Warrants for Curry arrest for Possession of Schedule II drugs and Drug trafficking.

On July 11, 2018 deputies attempted to make contact with Curry at the Thunderbird Liquor store located at 2585 Emery Highway.  When deputies tried to speak with Curry, he fled the scene on foot leaving behind his vehicle which contained various amounts of drugs.

Curry was transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center where he is being held on an $8450.00 bond.
