Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies located a suspect wanted in connection with several burglary incidents that occurred on Houston Avenue.
At around 10:00p.m. Thursday night, Investigators were called to meet with patrol deputies on Houston Avenue. Patrol deputies stated that they were possibly out with a suspect who was burglarizing several stores that are located on Houston Avenue.
Investigators met with patrol deputies and identified 58 year old Ernesto Julian Canty Sr., as the suspect in over six separate burglary investigations of the Dollar General and Family Dollar stores that are located on Houston Avenue. Several of the stores surveillance cameras captured video footage of Canty being involved in those incidents.
Canty is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for 6 counts of Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools for Commission of a Crime, and a Probation Violation Superior Court warrant.
