Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 30-year-old Joshua Ryan Chambley of Macon, for the armed robbery of Wells Fargo.

Chambley was taken into custody just after 4:40 p.m. at the Sunoco Gas station located at 3910 Arkwright Road. Deputies approached Chambley inside the store. Chambley attempted to flee the store and after a brief scuffle with deputies he was detained and checked by EMS. Chambley was then transported to the Sheriff’s Office Investigation Unit to be interviewed.

After the interview Chambley was transported to the Law Enforcement Center and booked on charges of Armed Robbery. Chambley does not have a bond at this time. The cash taken during this incident was recovered. Also during the course of this investigation deputies also served outstanding warrants out of Twiggs County on 39-year-old Gregory Dugger and 33-year-old Mellissa Godfrey for outstanding warrants out of Macon, Byron and Jones County.

Commercial Armed Robbery At Wells Fargo Bank

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place, just before 3:00 p.m. at 150 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd, at the Wells Fargo Bank.

It was reported that a male entered the business and passed a note demanding money from the clerk. The male received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank on foot . No one was injured during this incident.The suspect was described as a white male, last seen wearing all black clothing with a white outline picture shirt, blonde wig, sunglasses and a black bandana over his face.This incident is still under investigation.
