The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, made an arrest after a gun and drugs were located, during a search warrant that was served in the 700 block of Tidewater Circle.

While serving the search warrant, deputies seized a Taurus .38 special revolver, 14 pounds of marijuana, materials used for packaging the marijuana, and approximately $28,000.00 in currency.

Investigators arrested 22-year-old Jaquez DevontaeDurham during the service of this warrant.

Durham is currently being held at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charges of Purchase/Possession / Manufacture/ Distribute or Sale of Marijuana and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies. Durham also had a bond surrender from an arrest that occurred on November 12, 2021.

Durham was out on bond for the charges of  Purchase/Possession / Manufacture/ Distribute or Sale of Marijuana and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies when the warrant was served on Wednesday morning.
