On November 9, 2019, at 04:14 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal armed robbery in the 1000 block of Courtland Avenue.

While deputies were en route, a call of a person shot was dispatched on Napier Avenue and Crescent Avenue, which is in the same area. When deputies arrived at the Courtland Avenue location, they were informed that a black male had used a silver pistol to rob the residents of keys to a vehicle, as they arrived at their home. When the victims tried to run away, the suspect fired shots at them. One of the residents was able to get their gun and shoot back at the suspect. The suspect fled on foot.  

When deputies arrived at Napier Avenue and Crescent Avenue, they found 21-year-old Mark Antony Capron, of Macon, with gunshot wounds to both legs. Capron was identified by the description the victims gave deputies on Courtland Avenue. The gun that Capron had was recovered in the area where he was found.

Capron was taken for treatment and then to the Bibb County Jail for charges of two counts of Armed Robbery and one count Aggravated Assault. He is being held without bond at this time.
