The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault that took place at 668 Oglethorpe Street, Bibb County Law Enforcement Center just after 4:00 p.m., Monday.
Deputies responded to a fight between inmates inside of the jail. It was reported that several inmates were involved in an altercation that resulted in one male inmate being injured. The inmate received several cuts and was evaluated by jail medical staff, before being transported to the Navicent Health Center for treatment of his wounds.
The inmates injuries are non-life-threatening and he is currently listed to be in stable condition. All inmates involved were detained until further information is obtained about this incident.
