The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an aggravated assault that occurred in the 3800 block of Greenbriar Road. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 7:07 p.m.
Bibb Sheriff’s deputies and investigators were dispatched to the Atrium Health Navicent after receiving a report that a male was transported to the hospital, by personal vehicle, in reference to a gunshot wound. The male victim is 28-year-old Devonta Jackson. He is currently listed to be in critical, but stable condition.
Investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
